Our Story, Our People

Juris Strategy was founded in May 2024 by a group of students from the University of California, Berkeley passionate about bridging the gap between legal theory and real-world policy impact. What began as a small, research-driven initiative quickly evolved into a full-service legal and policy consultancy, advising public, private, and nonprofit clients on complex regulatory, trade, and governance challenges.

Backed by faculty mentorship, interdisciplinary training, and real-world engagements with complex regulatory frameworks, Juris Strategy continues to grow its impact—project by project, client by client.

A Vision Born in the Halls of Justice

Nihar's interest in public impact began early through civic advocacy, and deepened after high school during his internship at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. There, he supported work on diversion programs and data transparency, reviewing case records and analyzing racial disparities in pretrial outcomes.

What stood out wasn’t just the policy—but how often it failed to reach the communities it was meant to serve. Meetings ran on strong ideas but lacked the legal clarity or structure to move them forward. That disconnect stayed with him.

At UC Berkeley, Nihar launched Juris Strategy to fill that gap. What began as a student initiative is now a growing consultancy advising public, private, and nonprofit clients on issues ranging from climate finance to trade law—always with the goal of making law work in practice.
